approach
We describe our approach to new projects and challenges in four steps: research, concept, visuals, and delivery. We recognize the necessity of a client’s collaboration throughout the process in communicating their needs so that we can deliver something that doesn’t just look good, but produces results in a way the client can see and use in the future.
Research - After we receive the description of the project from the client we begin the research phase. This is where we gather as much information about the various facets of the project as possible. This include the client’s detailed knowledge of their business and circumstance, as well as the challenges that face them. We also look at historical, social, and cultural precedence and how they can be related to the current issue at hand.
Concept - From here we collaborate closely with the client in examining the results of the research and use this to make informed decisions about strategy. We start to focus on what sort of visuals will be both engaging and informative.
Visuals - We come up with a range of visual sketches that communicate the desired message. After refinement and discussion, one is picked for further refinement and development.
Delivery - When the visuals and any implementations are completed, we double check to make sure that the original message is being communicated effectively across all the media we are designing for. From there we deliver to the client within the parameters of the original contract, and we make sure that through training or other means, that the client understands how to use the developed product to their advantage. After a period of time has passed after the successful completion of the project, there is follow up to make sure the solution we’ve come up with is copacetic.
